The whole game takes place in and around Tesman’s living room. Jürgen Tesman and Hedda Tesman are young. They are back from a six-month honeymoon. Heda is aristocratic and hard to please. Aunt Julle raised Tesman and still supports him financially. When Hedda enters, she is dry instead of Aunt Julle. Tesman tells her to be nice, but she obviously had little interest in them. Lövborg was drunk and failed, but now he has improved. Eventually, Hedda went to Tesman, and she persuaded Mrs. Alvestat to believe him.
